A flock of majestic birds flew over hilly plains. The flock's leader, a proud Steppe Eagle named Aer, at the head. His feathers were chocolate-brown, except his tail feathers, which were a darker brown, almost black in fact. His brown eyes cautiously searched the skies, before he slowed to a halt, his wings beating slowly as he turned and looked out across at his flock. Every one of the birds in his flock was an eagle. Aer slowly let out a long, low cawk, which the others responded to. Satisfied, Aer turned to face his original direction, then flew off once more, the flock following like a faithful dog.
