Only the cub's chest, rising and falling with her every breath, showed that the leopard was still alive. Her tail was curled around her ears, her nose buried into her stomach fur.

Rein continued to walk through the passageway. Many different tunnels led off of it, but she continued on the one that she was on. Cautiously she turned a corner only to find that her path ended there. She could either go right or left. "Hmm..." she thought. Rein shrugged and headed right, away from the heart of the mountain. She decided to explore that way later. No more tunnels led off the main one. It was just a single path, continuing into the darkness.

The cub's legs twitched, as though she was running. She made little noises in her sleep, which sounded like crying. Suddenly, the cub's eyes shot open and she uncurled herself, awakened from what could have been a nightmare.

(Nyah. I'm changing the spelling of Rein's name. Henceforth it shall be spelled Reiyn.)
Reiyn continued down the tunned. Somewhere ahead she could smell a wood-fire burning. "The exit... it is near..." she whispered. Reiyn picked up her pace, wanting to see what lay ahead.
